MB Golf Celebrities: Who’s Playing Where?

The Myrtle Beach area is not only home to some of the world’s greatest courses, but it’s also home to some very reputable professional golfers who will be representing the Grand Strand on several mini-tours this year. In fact, more than a dozen professional golfers from the Grand Strand will be representing our area on tour. Here’s some information on a few of our greats so that you can keep up with their progress and feats:

Expect to hear big things from PGA Tour Member and Coastal Carolina alumni Dustin Johnson and LPGA member and Conway native Kristy McPherson as they embark on very lucrative and exciting world tours.

Murrells Inlet resident Zack Byrd has conditional status on the PGA Tour’s developmental Nationwide Tour after he tied for 115th at the Qualifying Tournament Finals. He hopes to obtain entry into the Mexico tournament in June. He is also 12th on the alternate list for the Chile Classic. He has high hopes of getting into at least five Nationwide events.

Little River resident Patrick Lundy is returning to the Grand Strand-based NG Pro Series National Tour for his third consecutive year. After receiving medical attention to a cyst in his shoulder, he’s now back and eager to pick back up a successful stride in his favorite game.
